Developed and maintained custom ERP software system that ran the various business units of iFLOOR including iFLOOR.com and multiple iFLOOR retail locations across the country and remote offices in the Philipines.
Wrote custom ERP systems in perl and mod_perl with a PostgreSQL database, and Apache webserver. Software runs on Linux servers.
Evolved software systems over serveral years to accommodate and meet growing customer and employee demands. Developed shopping cart, product catalog, product search and navigation using integrated Endeca software, various payment methods like Verisign Payflow Pro, Paypal, online check processing and Bill Me Later.
Developed and improved employee backend systems including order and sample fulfillment, product catalog, pricing, promotions, coupons, image processing and color analysis, document scanning and faxing, customer lead management and CRM, accounts receivable and accounts payable, purchasing, warehouse management, inventory, point of sale, cart/quote management, website content via integration with Bricolage CMS, chat via Wildfire jabber chat server, real time management reporting with dynamic graphs and maps.
Accommodated direct vendor access to purchase orders and accounts payable reports.
Automated back-end interfaces including real-time freight quotes, order fulfillment, payment processing, email marketing, EDI, integration with Solman accounting system, and weblog processing and analyses.
Responsible for the hardware and network systems running software system, included managing multiple linux servers, exim, spam assassin, system backups, salesperson linux desktops via LTSP, IPSec VPN tunnels to remote locations, Asterisk VOIP phone system, system monitoring, and firewalls.
Built and managed the development, testing, training, and release environment using CVS and Subversion and a collection of perl and bash scripts to move code between sandboxes, staging, testing and production.
